The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS), Division of Field Operations (DFO), now has the capability to offer limited internet services through a secure online account known as “My MDHS Account.”
The service will allow you to receive, view, and print the following information about your Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Disaster SNAP (DSNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and/or TANF Work Program (TWP) cases online:
- The status of your SNAP, DSNAP, and/or TANF cases;
- The benefit history and availability of your SNAP, DSNAP, and TANF benefits, and TWP supportive service payments, if applicable; and
- All of your SNAP, DSNAP, TANF, and TWP notices.
Exception: All claim overpayment related tax offset notices will continue to be received through regular mail.
MY ACCOUNT ONLINE
You may subscribe to the online service by contacting your worker and then registering and activating your account online. Once your worker makes the change you will no longer receive paper notices by regular mail. If you do not wish to contact your worker, go directly to the website to register and activate your account. It will be your responsibility to view your notices to ensure you are aware of all case changes, appointments and interviews, etc. You may subscribe to the online service by registering your account at https://mymdhsaccount.mdhs.ms.gov by following the steps below:
STEP 1
Type or copy and paste the above link in your browser or click on the link above to access the My MDHS Account website. Click on the “SUBSCRIBE” button.
STEP 2
Register your My MDHS Account by entering the following information.
- User ID (your email address)
- Password (at least 8 characters, with at least 1 number)
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- Date of Birth (DOB)
- Click on the “Next” button
NOTE: If the SSN and/or DOB you enter do not match the information on file with MDHS, you will receive an error message and you will not be able to register your account. If you receive an error message, you must contact your case worker to verify and correct the information MDHS has on file.
STEP 3
- Select three (3) security questions from the drop down box.
Enter answers to those questions (cannot be more than 25 characters.) - Click on the “Submit” button.
Once you have registered your My MDHS Account, you will receive an email with a link which you MUST click on to activate your account before you will be allowed to login.
You may unsubscribe from this service at any time. If you unsubscribe, you will not be able to access your My MDHS Account and you will no longer be able to view the above information online. You will receive paper notices through the regular mail from the unsubscribe date forward.
