The Mississippi Department of Human Services makes available to the public the most current events and news as it relates to MDHS. Through print, electronic and social media, the office helps to promote and educate the public about services available through MDHS, other governmental agencies, and its community partners.

2019 – 2021 Child Care and Development Fund Plan

The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS), Division of Early Childhood Care & Development (DECCD) conducted a public hearing on Saturday, August 18, 2018, in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium located at Two Mississippi Museums*, 222 North Street, Jackson, MS 39201. The hearing began at 10:00 a.m. and concludes at 12:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to review and discuss the 2019-2021 Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Plan for Mississippi.

The hearing for the program year 2018 is scheduled for Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Auditorium at the Mississippi Department of Human Services, 750 North State Street, Jackson, Mississippi.

The Communications Team manages media and marketing for MDHS. They are responsible for handling public and news media questions and coordinate responses to media requests.
