The Division Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) has a mission to assist aging and vulnerable adults, their families, and caregivers in achieving healthy, safe, and independent lifestyles, through advocacy, protection, education, and stewardship of public resources.

DAAS plans, coordinates and advocates for, and ensures the provision of services to all older Mississippians.

The MAC center was able to help Ms. Doe who was living in unacceptable conditions for the amount she had been paying for her apartment. She contacted a MAC Center Specialist and they were able to provide Ms. Doe with the number of Meadow Ridge Senior Apartments. A MAC Center Specialist then followed up after seven days with Ms. Doe to see if the resource she was given had worked. Ms. Doe stated that she is very pleased with the living conditions at her new apartment and looked forward to moving into her affordable housing.
