Community Services provides an array of services for elderly, disabled, low-income individuals and families, and families with children in local communities.
For individuals and communities, the MDHS Community Services Division can help support improvements that create self-sufficiency and improve quality of life.
Community Action Agencies
The Community Services Division partners with Community Action Agencies (CAAs) to administer funds to their local communities. CAAs are made up of local community people who complete local strengths & needs assessments to help guide their work
Your local CAA may be able to help with utility bills (heating and cooling), housing costs (mortgage/rent), education costs, and meeting other basic needs.
