MDHS offers several programs that help Mississippians meet their food needs.
SNAP
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides monthly benefits that help low-income households buy the food they need.
Emergency Food Assistance
Find a local food pantry that offers immediate food assistance through one of Mississippi’s food banks.
Meals for Older Adults
Older Mississippians may qualify for home delivered meals or be able to find a local senior center in their area that offers meals.
commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) provides a monthly food package tailored for older adults age 60 or above that can help stretch their food dollars and add nutritious foods to their diet for good health.
