SNAP Benefits

The issuance of remaining November SNAP benefits is currently underway. Clients can expect their total benefit balance to be available as soon as today. 

SNAP clients are encouraged to check their account balance to confirm receipt of benefits.  

Per current USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) guidance, full December benefits are expected to be issued on time

As benefits are distributed, SNAP recipients are advised to:  

  • Register for a Connect EBT account and save ConnectEBT to their cell phone home screen to change their PIN after every use to reduce their risk of being the victim of fraud and skimming. (See TUTORIAL
  • Monitor all account transactions and report any suspicious activity to MDHS. https://www.mdhs.ms.gov/help/snap/snap-fraud/ 
  •  Follow MDHS social media channels for the latest updates on benefit funding and program announcements. 

We understand the impact this disruption has caused for the 350,000 Mississippians who use SNAP benefits to help them purchase healthy foods.

FAQs

You will be able to access your remaining November SNAP benefit amount as early as November 21, 2025.

Yes. SNAP recipients will receive their normal benefit amount on their regularly scheduled issuance date.

Typically, no. You don’t have to do anything to receive your benefits. However, you should ensure the following:  

1. All household information is up to date on the Common Web Portal. 
2. SNAP recipients should continue to report household changes, submit requested verifications, and complete any scheduled interviews. 
3. Register for a ConnectEBT account if you have not already to Change your PIN. 
4. Monitor your account transactions and report any suspicious activity.

ConnectEBT is a secure online and mobile platform that allows you to:  

  • View your balance and transaction history 
  • Manage and monitor your account 
  • Change your EBT card PIN
